Samuel Sherman

Sam joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2022 and is a member of the Business Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on appellate advocacy, complex litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance litigation. He was recently named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by Missouri Lawyers Weekly, and is also heavily involved in both his local and state bar associations. 

Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Sam clerked for the Hon. Chief Justice Zel M. Fischer of the Supreme Court of Missouri. He also successfully represented classes of Plaintiffs in consumer class actions in state and federal courts across the country. Before he attended law school, Sam worked as the Sports Editor for the Leavenworth Times in Leavenworth, Kansas, covering primarily high school and collegiate sports in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

In addition to his legal practice, Sam currently represents District 3 (Jackson County) on the Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers Section Council and serves on the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section as the Co-Chair of the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy Committee. He is also an alumni of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy and volunteers his time assisting with the University of Missouri-Kansas City Bar Preparation, Legal Writing, and Moot Court programs.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, reading and fly fishing. He is also an avid fan of the Chiefs and Royals.
