Walking on Eggshells!

A common restriction for many community associations is a prohibition on poultry and chickens. Effective August 28, 2024, those restrictions are no longer enforceable if the lot is two tenths of an acre (“Chicken Law”). In that case, the owner can pasture up to six chickens and is permitted to have a single chicken coop that can hold up to six chickens

Understanding COVID-19 Liability Statute

During this year’s legislative session, the Missouri General Assembly adopted a bill related to COVID-19 increasing the burden of proof that a person must show to recover for their personal injuries. The Governor of Missouri is expected to sign the bill, which would then become effective on August 28, 2021. This is to summarize how this legislation impacts community associations.
