Missouri Employer Alert: Voters Approve Minimum Wage Hike, Mandatory Sick Leave

On November 5, 2024, Missouri voters approved Proposition A, which will raise the minimum wage and require employers to provide paid sick leave. On January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in Missouri will rise from $12.30 per hour to $13.75 per hour. On January 1, 2026, the minimum wage will rise again to $15.00 per hour. On January 1, 2027 and thereafter, the minimum wage will be adjusted based on changes to the Consumer Price Index. This was largely how the law was written previously; the only differences are the increased wage rates and dates of increases.
