Biography
Warren Davis is a shareholder of Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard. He is a member of the the firm’s Business and Business Litigation Practice Groups.
Warren concentrates his corporate practice in the general representation of privately held corporations and business entities with revenues in excess of $25 million. While serving in the outside general counsel role for his clients, he has necessarily focused his efforts in the support of his clients’ merger and acquisition activities. He has assisted his clients in acquiring, divesting and merger activity with a recent merger transaction having a $1 billion value. To support his representation of privately held companies and their executive officers, Warren provides his clients with 30 years of expertise in tax and business succession counseling.
In addition to his service as outside general counsel to his clients, Warren continues an active business litigation practice. Having tried more than 50 cases to verdict, Warren is an experienced courtroom attorney who continues to focus his litigation practice on the trial of disputes involving closely held corporations. In particular, Warren has developed an expertise in the litigation of disputes between closely held corporations and their shareholders. In addition to his work with closely held corporations, he has litigated construction and engineering disputes for the past 15 years.
Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Warren served as a founding shareholder of Davis, Davis, Kasnetz & Greenberg.
Warren was named to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers in 2005, 2006 and 2007 for the Business and Corporate areas. In 2007, Warren was also named in the areas of Business Litigation and Real Estate.

Civic Activities Warren serves on the Dean’s Advisory Committee of Washington University. He also serves on the boards of various St. Louis banks, social and charitable organizations.
Professional Activities Warren is admitted to practice law in the state of Missouri.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He also serves as a member of two task force corporate committees of the American Bar Association and has served as a lecturer for the American Bar Association on several standing continuing legal education seminars.
Education Warren earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Boston University in 1971.
He earned his undergraduate degree in History and English, with honors, at Washington University in 1968.
