Biography
Raven Akram joined Sandberg Phoenix in September of 2008 as an associate. Previously, she worked for the firm as a summer associate in 2006 and 2007.

Professional Activities
Raven is admitted to practice law in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
Raven is a member of the firm's Associate and Charitable Efforts Committees.
Civic Activities
Raven is a volunteer lawyer with the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Court and a certified Guardian ad Litem, a position in which she is appointed to stand in the shoes of a minor in court proceedings. She also volunteers with Voices for Children as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, representing and advocating for the best interests of child victims of abuse and neglect.
Education
Raven received her Juris Doctor and her certificate in employment law from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2008. She served as President of the Employment Law Association from 2007-2008 and Secretary of the Black Law Students’ Association.
She won the Best Advocate Award in the Midwest Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition in 2008. She was awarded the St. Louis University School of Law Volunteer of the Year Award for Excellence in Public Service in 2007. She received the Scovel Richardson Award from the Mound City Bar Association in 2007.
Raven received her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University in 2005.
