Joining the firm in 2015 after serving as a Summer Associate, Brett Simon litigates commercial disputes of all types in a wide variety of judicial forums. He recognizes the impact each case has on your company’s bottom line and develops a cost-effective strategy to successfully accomplish your goals. Brett also has extensive experience defending a multitude of personal injury claims—including wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice and other negligence theories.
Outside the office, Brett enjoys staying fit, cooking and spending time with his wife and three children.
Represented a non-profit organization in a breach of contract case filed against it by a vendor and negotiated a “walk away” settlement without filing a counterclaim.
Obtained affirmance from the court of appeals of a defense verdict in a medical malpractice case.
Represented a national tool seller in a case brought by former employee and negotiated a resolution via mutual dismissal where the employer paid nothing.
Draft a summary judgment motion in a high-exposure, multi-plaintiff apartment fire case which led to a voluntary dismissal of all claims.
Assisted in obtaining a jury verdict in favor of an international farming machinery manufacturer in a breach of warranty case, and obtained affirmance from state supreme court.
After a year of litigation, negotiated voluntary dismissal of a healthcare provider in a medical malpractice case without the client paying a dime.
