I am pleased to announce I will be speaking at DRI’s annual Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium taking place December 5-6, 2019 in New York City.
I will be speaking with co-presenter Cory Person on December 6, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. (Eastern) in the session titled Ethical Issues with Sharing Information. I will be discussing the tripartite relationship and the ethical dilemmas which may arise for defense counsel retained by the insurance company to defend the insured.
The Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium is the DRI Insurance Law Committee’s flagship program designed for insurance executives, claims professionals and outside counsel who specialize in insurance coverage and casualty claims. The program is intended to provide insightful education and training on some of the most important claims issues facing the insurance industry today. Topics this year include metrics and good partnership, a review of the first 18 months of the new ALI Restatement, and issues arising from claims made professional liability policies. In addition to the outstanding educational opportunities, CE/CLE credit is available. There are also great networking receptions following the formal programming. DRI is also offering a skills-based component to the program this year in the form of a hands-on workshop designed around the Rule 30(b)(6) deposition.
