Mary Lou joined Sandberg Phoenix in June 2016, and currently supports the firm’s Business Practice Group on bankruptcy Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer debtor issues for the firm’s banking and corporate clients in drafting Motions for Relief from the Automatic Stay and Proofs of Claims and other aspects of creditor bankruptcy representation. She also assists in creditor’s rights litigation.

Mary Lou also supports the Business Litigation Practice Group focusing on product liability, personal injury and medical malpractice. She brings 33 years of law firm experience with 26 years as a paralegal in the areas of litigation, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, foreclosures and mechanic’s lien.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas and a Paralegal Certificate from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. She is a is a member of The Kansas City Paralegal Association (KCPA) and participates in monthly meetings.

Mary Lou and her husband, LeRoy, have two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and watching the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.
