His industry experience includes biochemistry, polymer chemistry, electric motors and motor controls, radar systems, missile guidance, fluid flow measurement, potable water hydrants, optics, lighting fixtures, toys, internal engine cooling systems, heavy vehicle suspensions, plating processes, fire resistant coatings, dental equipment, archery equipment, subminiature fuses and glass tube manufacturing, among others.
Philip enjoys tennis, bridge, genealogy and singing in his church choir. He has been married to his wife Harriet since 1961 and has three children (two of whom are patent attorneys) and ten grandchildren.
