Biography
Michael W. Forster is a shareholder of Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard. Mike concentrates on representing financial institutions, and in real estate, contract law, general corporate law and commercial law.
His expertise in counseling financial institutions includes regulatory compliance, loan documentation, workouts, and product development. Mike has also participated in drafting banking laws and regulations for the states of Missouri and Illinois including: the Missouri Future Advance Mortgage law, Missouri regulations on loans to limited partnerships, a Missouri statute permitting interstate trust department services, manufactured home lending, and Illinois banking facilities law. He is the author of “Titling Accounts,” published by the Missouri Bankers Association.
Mike also serves closely held companies in real estate transactions, purchases and sales of businesses, corporate planning, contracts, shareholder relations and counseling business owners.
Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Mike served as a Senior Vice President and General Counsel to the former Landmark Bancshares Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange bank holding company.
Mike has been named to the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers for the Banking area since 2006.
