Biography
Mara joined Sandberg Phoenix in September 2010 as an associate. Previously, she worked as a summer associate at the firm in 2009 and as a research fellow at Saint Louis University School of Law where she assisted Professor Molly Walker Wilson with research on the intersection between psychology and the law. Mara's practice is focused on business, especially in the areas of wealth planning, estate planning, and banking.

Mara is a member of the Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard Charity Committee. She is also a volunteer Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the firm's liaison with Girls Hope Boys Hope.

Mara is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois, including the Eastern and Western District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois.
She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, American Bar Association, Women's Lawyer's Association, Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard's Women's Forum, and the firm's Associate Committee.
Publications
Mara currently authors the monthly case reviews for new trust and probate litigation in the Missouri Court Bulletin. She has given numerous presentations on issues relating to estate planning in both Missouri and Illinois.
Education
Mara earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2010 from St. Louis University School of Law.
Mara graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in both psychology and sociology.
