Our People
Sandberg Phoenix’s Labor and Employment Law Group provides services in the full spectrum of labor and employment matters including counseling on statutory and regulatory compliance, advising human resource professionals on personnel decisions, representing management in labor disputes, and defending employers in complex state and federal investigations, administrative proceedings and litigation. Our attorneys are equipped to respond to the fast pace and complexity of these fields.
Our Clients
Sandberg Phoenix’s labor and employment law clients work in a vast range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, service, retail, banking, construction, consulting and transportation. Our clients range from small, family-owned businesses to international, publicly-held corporations. We know that each of our clients faces workplace challenges that can impact their growth and profitability. Our clients know they must exceed their customers’ expectations. We share this passion to exceed expectations, and we offer our clients superior service and helpful solutions to the labor and employment challenges our clients face.
Our Expertise
Our expertise allows us to effectively represent employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in responding to claims of discrimination, harassment, violations of the family and medical leave act, wrongful discharge, wage and hour claims, non-competition/non-solicitation disputes and trade secrets violations, and many other labor, employment, and employee benefits claims. We are continually advancing and improving our knowledge of the substantive law, administrative regulatory guidelines and court rules so that our clients have every possible advantage when managing their workforce and responding to claims.
In addition to aggressively defending claims in administrative proceedings and litigation, we help our clients avoid claims by advising our clients on a daily basis and in drafting and implementing employment policies and employee handbooks. We regularly conduct in-house training of our clients’ employees on a variety of matters so that HR professionals and company managers understand how to apply their policies and procedures lawfully and efficiently.
