Biography
Keith D. Price is a shareholder of Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard and is a member of both the Business and Business Litigation practice groups. As a member of the Business Practice Group, Keith focuses in business, finance and real estate. Keith provides general counsel to businesses starting with formation of the company and continuing into operation of the company which includes preparation of supply, distribution, licensing, leasing and confidentiality agreements. Keith also has considerable experience negotiating and drafting
asset purchase agreements and commercial real estate purchase agreements. In addition, Keith focuses a significant amount of his time representing lenders in commercial loan documentation and closings as well as loan enforcement, workouts, receivership, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. Keith also counsels community associations regarding governance, litigation and conflict resolution.
As a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group, Keith has represented lending clients in hundreds of cases in Missouri and Illinois, including replevin and loan recovery actions, fraud claims, Regulation B claims, electronic fund transfer claims, mechanic’s lien actions, appointment of receivers and injunctive relief. He has prosecuted and defended a wide range of business disputes such as employment contracts, supply agreements, creditor’s rights, leases and breach of fiduciary duty.
Keith has spoken and written on a variety of topics including governance issues of the community association, litigation issues faced by community associations, bankruptcy procedure and strategies, the impact of bankruptcy on the family law practitioner, and the dischargeability of taxes through bankruptcy.

Civic Activities
Recently Keith joined the Board of Doorways, a non-profit organization providing housing and housing related services to people living with AIDS or HIV. In addition to serving as a general member of the Board, Keith chairs the Mission and Evaluation Committee.
Keith also serves on the Board of Discovering Options, a non-profit after-school program for at-risk children in the City of St. Louis. The organization provides at-risk children with support, through a developed program and mentors, to prevent drug abuse.
Keith previously served on the Board of Art St. Louis and the Board of St. Louis Effort for AIDS.

Keith is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association.
Education
Keith earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University in 1988 where he was an Editor of the Baylor Law Review.
