Jake Thessen Chosen for Missouri Bar Leadership Academy

The Missouri Bar Association Leadership Academy has tapped Sandberg Phoenix Associate Jake Thessen to join its 2017-2018 class of the Missouri Bar's Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy, developed in 2000, focuses on training, recruiting and retaining young or recently admitted lawyers (under age 40 or less than 10 years of practice) for leadership positions in the Missouri Bar.

Limited to 13 or fewer members each year, Leadership Academy class members participate in the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting, Board of Governors meetings, committee meetings, and workshops specifically designed for the Leadership Academy. For one year, the members work closely with bar leaders to learn more about the Missouri Bar, cultivate leadership skills, and develop a public service project. At the end of the year, members commit to serve the Missouri Bar in an active capacity for two years.

Joining Sandberg Phoenix in 2014, Jake's practice focuses on of business litigation, constitutional & civil rights law, health law and products liability matters. He has represented clients including contractors, hospitals, physicians, transportation companies and owners of small- to medium-sized business enterprises.
