Biography
Diane joined Sandberg Phoenix in May 2011 as an associate. She works primarily in health law and business litigation practice groups. Diane has written dispositive motions that resulted in voluntary dismissal of defendant hospitals. She has also guided doctors through responding to, and avoiding disciplinary action by, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Diane has also helped defend employers from wrongful termination claims.
Previously, Diane clerked for judges of the Jackson County Illinois Court and completed a clerkship with the Office of General Counsel for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Alaska Region Office. Prior to attending law school, Diane became co-owner of an advertising/design firm in Carbondale, Illinois. She has also served as a transportation planner, information officer and spokesperson for Alaska government agencies and was a news anchor/reporter for commercial and public television stations.

Professional Activities
Diane is licensed to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Jackson County Bar Association, and Inn of Court of Southern Illinois.
Education
Diane received her Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law in May 2010. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida.
