Financial Institutions
It is the goal of Sandberg Phoenix to provide excellent legal services at reasonable fees in a prompt and efficient manner. The focal point of the firm’s practice is to permit community banks to have access to the same high quality of legal services as the largest banks, without the expense of big law firm legal fees.
By representing numerous financial institutions, Sandberg Phoenix has the opportunity to be involved in most aspects of financial institution law on a regular basis. This permits the firm to do the two things most important for any client. First, give a prompt and authoritative response to questions. Second, manage the cost of services by avoiding in most situations the need to conduct basic legal research, and by minimizing the time involved in responding to the client’s need. Legal advice is given in a business context.
Sandberg Phoenix represents numerous banks and credit unions in Missouri and Illinois and provides a broad range of services to its financial institution clients. Services include:
- Loan negotiation and documentation
- Standard loan document library
- Product development including forms and compliance procedures and non-traditional banking activities
- Regulatory compliance consulting
- Workout
- Training on accounts, lending and regulatory topics
- Bankruptcy
- Litigation
- General corporate law including contracts, real estate transactions and leases
- Employment law
