Biography

Ross is a senior associate at Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Kansas and in Missouri. Ross has substantial experience in a wide range of practice areas, focusing primarily on litigation and trial work in the areas of construction, employment and commercial law. Striving to achieve his clients’ goals in the most cost-effective and strategic manner possible, Ross has obtained multiple wins for his clients at trial and numerous other victories through dispositive motions and mediations. As a result of his successes, Ross has been named repeatedly to the “Rising Star” list by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers since 2014.

  • Secured a nominal settlement for a contractor facing a claim of more than $1.4 million in damages
  • Obtained summary judgment defending a claim of more than $11 million in damages in a complex commercial litigation matter
  • Successfully dismissed multiple claims of discrimination/harassment against employers and numerous favorable settlements
  • Won several verdicts in favor of his clients plus recovery of attorneys’ fees in breach of contract cases for a multi-national company
  • Won a motion to dismiss a wrongful foreclosure case in federal court where the plaintiff was asking for more than $3 million in damages and won the subsequent appeal to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals based on the on the briefs alone
  • Won a motion to dismiss an appeal in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals
  • Received summary judgment in favor of a client in a complex class-action matter
  • Obtained a nominal settlement for a subcontractor defending suit by the owner alleging more than $1.2 million in damages
