Ross is a senior associate at Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard P.C. and is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Kansas and in Missouri. Ross has substantial experience in a wide range of practice areas, focusing primarily on litigation and trial work in construction, employment and commercial law. In addition to trial victories, Ross has obtained multiple cost-efficient wins for clients through dispositive motions and mediations. As a result of his successes, Ross has been named a “Rising Star” by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers since 2014.
As a member of both the business litigation and products liability groups at Sandberg Phoenix, Ross has successfully represented clients in a number of industries, including construction, design professionals, banking, insurance, real estate, development, landlord-tenant, accounting and manufacturing.

In law school, Ross was an Articles Editor and elected to the Editorial Board of the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy, was a business law teaching assistant for the University of Kansas School of Business, worked as a law clerk for a reputable law firm in Kansas City and completed an internship with the Consumer Protection Unit of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.
Joining Sandberg Phoenix in 2015, Ross Boden brings more than five years of experience as a litigator in Kansas and Missouri. Ross has handled matters ranging from products liability, construction, commercial litigation and insurance coverage to contract disputes and employment litigation, including FMLA, sexual harassment, whistleblower, discrimination and non-compete issues.
“Sandberg Phoenix offered an opportunity for me to develop a more specialized practice and hone my skills in complex litigation,” Ross says.
Ross works closely with clients to develop a litigation strategy based on a complete understanding of his clients’ business environment and their individual goals. Ross works to minimize exposure for his clients and assist them in guarding against future legal action.
