Associate Meghan E. Lewis joined Sandberg Phoenix Kansas City in 2014 after spending four years at another area law firm. An experienced business litigation and appellate attorney, Meghan has developed a successful practice focused on insurance coverage and bad faith defense, appellate advocacy, personal injury defense and legal malpractice defense.
She has significant experience in handling complex contractual disputes, business torts, professional liability and product liability issues efficiently and effectively. Meghan is also regarded by her colleagues as an invaluable resource in legal research, analysis and writing. These key skills enable her to represent clients in all phases of litigation, including appeals.
In recognition of her outstanding work as a young attorney, Meghan was selected as a “Rising Star” by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Meghan obtained summary judgment on behalf of an insurer in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri. The case involved numerous insureds who were involved in a multi-vehicle accident which left one of the claimants paralyzed. After satisfying the limits on policies, summary judgment was granted due to exhaustion.
Meghan recently second chaired a jury trial involving a wrongful death case. Representing the defendant, Meghan helped achieve a verdict that ranked as the 11th largest defense verdict in the state that year.

Associate Meghan E. Lewis joined Sandberg Phoenix Overland Park in 2014 after spending four years at another Kansas City area law firm. An experienced Business Litigation attorney, Meghan regularly works with insurance carriers, businesses large and small, and business and legal professionals on a variety of legal matters. Her practice areas include insurance coverage defense, contractual disputes, business torts, professional liability, employment law, and appellate practice. She also has experience in personal injury defense and toxic tort cases, including asbestos and diacetyl or “popcorn lung” matters.
