Caleb Hawkins focuses his practice on civil litigation defense with a concentration in products liability, premises liability and toxic tort defense, including asbestos defense. Caleb is also a member of the Correctional Medicine team representing healthcare providers in the correctional setting.

Caleb is well versed and knowledgeable of numerous industries and types of equipment/services as they relate to asbestos litigation, including: refineries, electrical equipment, power generation, HVAC, automotive, construction, pipefitting, the railroad, the Navy, contractors, employers and premises. Caleb has drafted and argued numerous dispositive motions that lead to favorable outcomes for clients based on a wide array of legal arguments, including: lack of product identification, lack of proximate cause, statute of repose and statute of limitations. Caleb also acts as lead associate attorney for several clients taking an active role in developing strategy, developing discovery through depositions and written discovery, drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions and pleadings and acting as a resource in regards to client/product information and case strategy for other attorneys.

While in law school, Caleb worked for Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation providing pro bono legal services to low-income individuals and senior citizens. Prior to joining Sandberg Phoenix, Caleb practiced in front of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois in court appointed pro bono prisoner litigation matters.
