Michael Lecinski is an associate at Sandberg Phoenix practicing in the firm’s litigation group, concentrating on toxic torts, asbestos litigation and products liability. He frequently prepares motions and attends court hearings in the City of St. Louis Circuit Court.
His interest in the law began at an early age as he enjoyed video games that revolved around police procedure and thoroughly read the technical manuals detailing police procedures that accompanied them. As a child, these games required him to critically think to solve a problem, just like the law today can require some critical thinking to arrive at the best resolution.
Previously Michael served as a law clerk to the Hon. Mark H. Neill of the 22nd Judicial Circuit of Missouri. He assisted Judge Neill with research on various criminal and civil cases, including one of the cases challenging St. Louis’ red light camera ordinance.
His interest in the law resulted in him earning his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude with majors in Criminology and History from Marquette University. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law with a concentration in criminal litigation, graduating cum laude.
Michael is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
